The Jordan Village Historic District in Jordan, New York is a 34 acres (14 ha) historic district that dates back to 1810. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and includes 70 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 2 contributing structures.
The village bloomed with the opening of the Erie Canal in 1825. Due to the canal, Jordan became larger than Elbridge Village farther south. In 1835, Jordan was incorporated as a village. In 1983, much of the village was included in the Jordan Village Historic District and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [3]
