Although the Man with the Yellow Hat is unnamed in both the original books and telefilm books, he receives his name in the Curious George TV series and is known as "Theodore Shackleford". The man looks for the piece everywhere but cannot find it, and he thinks it's strange since it's a brand-new puzzle. Eventually, he gives up searching and he and George go to bed.
