Christ Presbyterian Academy (CPA) is a private, coeducational, college-preparatory school for grades preschool through 12 in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. The school provides education through a Christian worldview. CPA is affiliated with Christ Presbyterian Church, a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America. [1]
In the very early years of the school, high school students took the courses of their own selection and, when they felt ready, went on to college-level courses. High school students lived in dormitories with college students until the 1800s. In June 2012, the school changed its name from David Lipscomb Campus School to Lipscomb Academy.

It was initially named Nashville Catholic High School for Boys before adopting its current name in 1927 to honor Father Abram Joseph Ryan. In 1944, students at Father Ryan in conjunction with other schools in Nashville raised nearly $600,000 to purchase a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress to be named "The Spirit of Father Ryan" during World War II.
