The Shimura Ichirizuka (志村一里塚) is a historic Japanese distance marker akin to a milestone, comprising a pair of earthen mounds located in what is now Itabashi, Tokyo in the Kantō region of Japan. It was designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1922, with the designation expanded in 1935. [1]
From the north of Tokyo, it was divided into three sections: Kami-shuku (上宿), Naka-shuku (中宿) and Hirao-shuku (平尾宿).
