Malabar is a town in Brevard County, Florida. It is part of the Palm Bay – Melbourne – Titusville, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area . The population was 2,949 at the 2020 United States Census, up from 2,757 at the 2010 census.

In 1929, Malabar Road was extended to the north. [15] Later, this northern section of Malabar was redesignated as Minton Road, named after Alton M. Minton, who owned a drug store at Mintons Corner Shopping Center. By 1957, the locals referred to the area this road traveled through as Minton's Corner. [16]
