John Morgan Roderick [1] (born September 13, 1968) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, podcaster, and politician. He is the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band The Long Winters, was a touring member of the rock band Harvey Danger, and co-hosts the podcasts Roderick On The Line and Omnibus.
The song is a parody of the Kiss song "Unholy", inspired by the story of Poley's first encounter with Kiss lead singer Paul Stanley. [8] On September 19, 2009, the independent label Frontiers Records released Revolve, featuring the return of Poley as lead singer, as well as new member, guitarist Rob Marcello. [9]
In 1987, he was approached by Bruno Ravel to join Danger Danger as a lead vocalist and he accepted. Together they released two albums (Danger Danger and Screw It!) and toured with bands like KISS, Alice Cooper, and others.
Next he co-founded the band Danger Danger with Bruno Ravel and Steve West. He was the original lead vocalist of Danger Danger and was replaced in Danger Danger by Ted Poley. He left Danger Danger and moved to Los Angeles, forming the Gangsters Of Love, and performed as opening act on a few shows for LA Guns on their first tour in 1988.
