James Patrick Gorman [1] AO (born July 14, 1958) [2] is an Australian-American businessman and financier. He has been executive chairman of Morgan Stanley since 2012, and was CEO of the firm from 2010 through 2023. Before becoming CEO, he was the co-president and co-head of strategic planning at the firm.
