Moab (/ ˈ m oʊ. æ b / ⓘ) is the largest city and county seat of Grand County [5] in eastern Utah in the western United States, known for its dramatic scenery. The population was 5,366 at the 2020 census. [6] Moab attracts many tourists annually, mostly visitors to the nearby Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.
The Schwinn Bicycle Company is an American company that develops, manufactures and markets bicycles under the eponymous brand name. The company was founded by Ignaz Schwinn (1860–1948) in Chicago in 1895.
The mall would originally have been built at Sawmill Road and 161, but it did not happen and the site ultimately became Sun Center in 1994. The mall opened on July 11, 1997 with Sears, Lazarus, Marshall Field's, and JCPenney as anchor stores.
Moab residents pushed for a road to be built along the riverbank. By 1902, the trail was replaced with a toll road, called King's Toll Road, after Samuel King. King was an early settler who also operated the toll ferry used prior to the construction of the Dewey Bridge. Rocks inscribed with "Kings Toll Road" can still be found along the roadway.
