Discovery Channel Southeast Asia (known as The Discovery Channel from 1985 to 1995, often referred to as simply Discovery) is the Southeast Asian version of Discovery Channel operated by Warner Bros. Discovery Asia-Pacific, a division of Warner Bros. Discovery, a publicly traded company run by CEO David Zaslav.
On June 30, 2018, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC, Discovery Asia, Discovery Science, Eurosport and Setanta Sports were let go of the channel line-up and were replaced by Gusto TV, CuriosityStream, Travelxp, Makeful, Fight Sports, GEM TV, and Colors Tamil.
The channel was launched in 2005 as Discovery HD, the first high-definition channel in Asia. It was first available in South Korea in February, and in Japan in December.
