On 2 February 2023, it was announced that TuralTuranX are among the last five candidates of Azerbaijan's internal selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. [4] On 9 March, they were selected as the Azerbaijani representatives for the Eurovision Song Contest. [ 5 ]

By 2023, the official video for "Always" had been played on YouTube over 40 million times, while the live performance in the Eurovision final has over 21 million views. In January 2010, Tophit.ru reported that "Always" had become the second most selling ringtone in Ukraine and Belarus. [4]
Emin Arasovich Agalarov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan. He is the son of Azerbaijani–Russian oligarch Aras Agalarov, head of the Crocus Group . Emin's father is Azerbaijani and his mother is Jewish. [5] He considers himself a Muslim. [6] His family moved to Moscow when Emin was four years old.
The first volume (2020) compiles music by Rüstəm Quliyev, a native of Nagorno-Karabakh who remains popular in Azerbaijan thanks to the YouTube channel run by his nephew. The second volume (2024) compiles music by Rəhman Məmmədli, one of the first players to replicate traditional vocals with heavy distortion on the electric guitar.
