The Wikipedia article states that the average head circumference in the US is 57cm for males and 55cm for females. That fits in with hat size charts. Also, measuring mine, my brothers and my fathers head just now is as follows. My adult female head is 55cm. My brothers and my fathers are exactly the same at 58cm. We are from the UK.--
