The Warning is the first studio album by American heavy metal band Queensrÿche, released on September 7, 1984, and reissued on May 6, 2003, with three bonus tracks. In 2019, Metal Hammer ranked it as the 13th best power metal album of all time.

AllMusic reviewer Eduardo Rivadavia noted an "obvious Iron Maiden influence" and the "'dungeons and dragons' lyrical themes" of the EP's songs. "Prophecy" was released as the B-side of "Gonna Get Close to You" and later included on the 1988 re-issue of the Queensrÿche EP and the 2003 re-issue of The Warning.
