The Eton wall game is a game that originated at and is still played at Eton College. It is played on a strip of ground 5 metres wide and 110 metres long ("The Furrow") next to a slightly curved brick wall ("The Wall") erected in 1717. It is one of two codes of football played at Eton, the other being the Eton field game.
If the player is successful, the brick is placed on top of the wall, and play continues. If the player knocks more than one brick out of the wall, but the special "Knockout" brick remains in place, the brick that the player was attempting to remove is set on top of the wall, and the other downed bricks are removed from the game.
