Haystack Rock is a 235 ft-tall (72 m) sea stack in Cannon Beach, Oregon.The monolithic rock is adjacent to the beach and accessible by foot at low tide. The Haystack Rock tide pools are home to many intertidal animals, including starfish, sea anemone, crabs, chitons, limpets, and sea slugs.

A sea stack, named "Chief Kiwanda rock", is located 1 ⁄ 2 mile (0.80 km) southwest of the cape. It is one of three features along the Oregon Coast that are called "Haystack Rock", [2] though the one in Cannon Beach is more widely known. One of the attractions, called the Duckbill, in the park was destroyed by vandals in August 2016.
Devils Punch Bowl is located about 5 miles (8.0 km) south of Depoe Bay, and about 8 miles (13 km) north of Newport in the community of Otter Rock, and about 1 ⁄ 4 mile (400 m) west of U.S. Route 101. The park encompasses 5.34 acres (2 ha), which includes picnic grounds. There is a trail for access to the beach, and tide pools.
If a cave wears through a headland, an arch forms. Further erosion causes the arch to collapse, leaving the pillar of hard rock standing away from the coast, the stack. Eventually, erosion will cause the stack to collapse, leaving a stump. This stump usually forms a small rock island, low enough for a high tide to submerge.
