Isabela, officially the Province of Isabela (Ilocano: Probinsia ti Isabela; Ibanag: Provinsia na Isabela; Tagalog: Lalawigan ng Isabela), is the second largest province in the Philippines by land area located in the Cagayan Valley. Its capital and the largest local government unit is the city of Ilagan.

The municipalities of Cabagan and Santa Maria in Isabela province has been linked by an overflowing concrete bridge. [2] [3] A new bridge was proposed in 2014 to replacing the old structure which is usually rendered impassible during heavy rains. [4] [5] [6] The Cabagan–Santa Maria Bridge was constructed besides the old structure.

Cabagan is a land-locked municipality in the Cagayan River valley in the north of Luzon Island. The town center is located on the eastern banks of the Cagayan River. Cabagan is 50 kilometres (31 mi) from Ilagan and 448 kilometres (278 mi) from Manila.
Its land area is 46,730 hectares (115,500 acres) or 5.62% of the total land area of Isabela. It is bounded on the north by the municipality of Cabagan; on the east by the municipality of Divilacan, on the south by the City of Ilagan, the capital of Isabela; and on the west by the Cagayan River and the municipality of Delfin Albano.
