Meteor Garden (Chinese: 流星花園; pinyin: Liúxīng Huāyuán) is a 2001 Taiwanese drama starring Barbie Hsu, Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu, and Vanness Wu. It is the first live-action television adaptation of the Japanese manga series Boys Over Flowers ( 花より男子 , Hana Yori Dango ) by Yoko Kamio .
Chou rose to fame for his role as Hua Ze Lei in the highly popular Taiwan television series Meteor Garden. Meteor Garden was released in Taiwan in 2001 and turned the leads into stars virtually overnight.
