Grass (1925). The film's producers were mainly concerned with documenting a way of life that was unknown to all those outside the Bakhtiari realm. The film highlights the extreme hardships faced by nomadic peoples, as well as the bravery and ingenuity of the Bakhtiari on their migration in search of grass, which meant abundant seasonal pasture for their animals.
The first series contained 4 seasons that was Tehran in 4 episodes, Isfahan in 4 episodes, Kashan in 2 episodes and Persepolis (Takht-e-Jamshid) in 4 episodes. The four-part series explores events of the 1979 Iranian revolution and the 1979–81 Iran hostage crisis, examining other dimensions of the crisis, like the U.S. role in the Middle East politics during the 70's, and its impact on 1980 U.S. presidential elections, as well as the aftermath of the Iranian revolution.
The series, dubbed in English, can be viewed on Iran's iFilm movie network. [5] The original series, in Persian, can also be obtained in a 16-DVD, two-box set from its official distributor, Soroush Multimedia Company of Iran (Soroush.tv). First 15 DVDs contain 3 episodes each. Last DVD contains 3 episodes on the making of the series. [6]
