Taylor Lee Douthit (/ ˈ d aʊ θ ɪ t / DOW-thit; [1] April 22, 1901 – May 28, 1986), nicknamed "The Ballhawk", [2] was an American professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) as an outfielder from 1923 to 1933, most notably as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals team with whom he won a World Series championship in 1926.
