Just wanted to write a quick post with the intention of recognising the good work from the good people at Centex Brass. I recently purchased a Schilke soprano cornet through them internationally, having them ship this instrument to the land ...

A great source of used brass, especially trumpets, coronets and flugelhorns. Clay is straight ahead and a real pleasure to do business with. Among the best.

Well, I suspect the politics of instrument brand/model are a lot different for Cory, Black Dyke, Grimethorpe, etc. than for the other 99% of brass bands, if that's even why you want a new cornet. For most brass bands, especially in the US, you'll see a wide range of cornets. More importantly, you'll also see a wide range of mouthpieces.

Interesting MT Vernon Bach Shop Card. I've had the pleasure of handling a number of vintage Bach trumpets over the years. I recently had someone contact me about helping them sell some horns they inherited. Among them is an early Mount Vernon C trumpet, made in 1954. I always enjoy seeing what the shop card will reveal.

Centex Brass stated, in a for sale posting, that a guide was replaced. This can be seen in the pic below. I am not familiar with how they accomplished this task.
