thank you in advance ;) mGBA been using it with no issues what so ever. There's a new version of VBA-M. I tried both and found to be the better one. It runs just as good and has a lot more enhancement options compared to mGBA. Emulation General Wiki keeps lists of the most recommended emulators for each console.

Myboy. mGBA core,but it has some sound regressions in latest version,so i recommend vba-next core. If you have no gamepad, myboy has the best onscreen controls, if you do, gba.emu, vgbanext, and retroarch are all better. I like JohnGBA but it doesn't run any of the hacked Fire Emblem games.
These emulators are set to 'Frameskip: Auto / 9' which sounds like a disaster - but after hours of Mario Kart, Racing Gears and F-Zero GP I honestly cannot see a difference in the smoothness of the game compared to the same games on my Gameboy Micro. Your millage may vary - depending on how sensitive you are to frameskip/FPS smoothness.
Yes, it's a GBA emulator, despite its weird-sounding name. For game boy games, use Gambatte. I think mGBA is considered the best now for GBA. And Gambatte for GB/GBC. Honestly, though, that's just what I've read and don't have a lot of personal experience, so I'd like to hear others chime in.
How do I slow down games using VisualBoyAdvance? No idea why, but everything is sped up 1000% fuckin percent. Turbo mode is turned off, and the other speed-related options are set to 0. DrewG90. •. john gbac ( ad pay wall) Vgbanext (one time purchase) both can Play GBA/GBC,both are 4.99 or less to pay. Myboy or Myboy advance are both free ( also has paid versions)but I've heard u gotta pay for save states. Personally I use JohnGBAC with the payment to remove ads. Easy to use and easy to switch between GBC and GBA.
