"Bring the Boys Back Home" is a song by the English rock band Pink Floyd released on their 1979 album, The Wall. [1] The song was released as a B-side on the single, " When the Tigers Broke Free ". [ 2 ]
The song came out at a time when soldiers were returning to America dead and in body bags. A higher than normal number of the soldiers were black. The soldiers were only boys at the age of 20, which was the average age that many of them were killed. [2]
The show was based on a 1930 book, Bring 'Em Back Alive, written by well-known big-game trapper Frank Buck. Buck appeared in several movies, including a 1932 adaptation of the book, and is remembered by serial fans as the star of Jungle Menace.
