Batman: The Animated Series (often shortened as Batman TAS or BTAS) [1] is an American animated superhero television series based on the DC Comics superhero Batman.Developed by Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski, and produced by Warner Bros. Animation, it originally aired on Fox Kids from September 5, 1992, to September 15, 1995, with a total of 85 episodes.
Ten more episodes were broadcast in this format in September–November 1994 under the Adventures of Batman & Robin title. Once these fifteen episodes had premiered (the final five were held back until September 1995), the weekday slot was restored to include reruns of the entire series.
It won the Eisner Award for Best Single Issue and the Harvey Award for Best Single Issue or Story in 1994. Mad love was adapted as an episode of the animated series The New Batman Adventures, among other examples, like the video game Batman: Arkham Asylum and the film Suicide Squad.
In the three part movie series Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, the end of part three saw the end of Earth-12 which represented a universe animated in the same style of the DC Animated Universe. In this scene, Batman was fighting Joker on the roof of a building in Gotham City in his original BTAS costume.
