The size of the English Wikipedia can be measured in terms of the number of articles, number of words, number of pages, and the size of the database, among other ways. As of 30 January 2025, there are 6,946,792 articles in the English Wikipedia containing over 4.7 billion words (giving a mean of about 690 words per article).

In other words, Wikipedia is approximately 112.35 times the size of Encyclopædia Britannica and that's excluding pictures for Wikipedia. The total size would be 9 m 3 . This is substantially less than stated in this video , which has 300m 3 – but that figure is based on Rob Matthews' artwork Bookifying Wikipedia .
The data up to October 2006 was taken from one of Erik's Downloads. The data since I took manually each month at the date (or a day later) using the Special:Statistics page.
