Hofbrau is an American cafeteria-style restaurant concept, similar to a carvery.The name is derived from the German term Hofbräu, which originally referred to a brewery with historical ties to a royal court.
The Hofbräuhaus Saal c. 1902. The Hofbräuhaus am Platzl was founded in 1589 by the Duke of Bavaria, Wilhelm V. [1] It is one of Munich's oldest beer halls. It was founded as the brewery to the old Royal Residence, which at that time was situated just around the corner from where the beer hall stands today.
The 18,000 square foot beer hall is modeled after the Staatliches Hofbräuhaus in München, [1] [2] and has a patio. [3] Hofbräuhaus Columbus opened in late October 2014. [4] [5] [6]
