Kokkarakko is a 1983 Indian Tamil-language film directed and co-written by Gangai Amaran. The film stars Mahesh and Ilavarasi . It was released on 16 September 1983, [ 1 ] and did not perform well at the box office.
Yugabharathi is a Tamil poet and lyricist.He started his career as editor in Kanaiyazhi and turned into a lyricist in Tamil film industry. Debuting in the film Aanandham with lyrics for the song "Pallankuzhiyin vattam parthaen", he has become a successful lyricist penning more than 1000 songs.

Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi. He is the younger brother of noted music director Ilaiyaraaja and father of director and actor Venkat Prabhu and actor, composer and singer Premji Amaren.
Kannur Rajan (24 June 1940 – 7 April 1995) was a music composer from Kerala, [1] India.Though his songs are less in numbers, they are noted as emotional and nostalgic in the Malayalam film songs. [2]

There after, she recorded many hundreds of songs for composers such as Ilaiyaraaja, A. R. Rahman, Mani Sharma, Koti, Deva, Vidyasagar, Hamsalekha and others. She received the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the song "Poraale Ponnuthayi" from the film Karuthamma (1994).
