Peter Tschentscher (German pronunciation: [ˈpeːtɐ ˈtʃɛntʃɐ]; born 20 January 1966) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD). Since 28 March 2018 he has been the First Mayor of Hamburg. As First Mayor, he is head of the current government of the city-state. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament.
