Quick question, Thanksgiving starts 25th right? How long is the break? Just until end of weekend? I’m confused with this new calendar. Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. No classes 11/25-11/27. Offices will be open 11/25. All courses go remote beginning 11/30.

  3. Fall semester was shifted back a bit to create more buffer around the holidays, allowing for 3- and 4-week courses to run from Jan 2nd all the way through the start of spring semester. One can shift the start of the spring semester a little earlier as well, to keep the summer the same length.

I googled the academic calendar and it just says no school thanksgiving day on Wednesday Nov 22nd. So do we only have that day off? or is it that Wednesday, then the Thursday and Friday off as well? (i’m aware this may sound stupid but i’m an international student so i’m not familiar with how holidays work here!) Vote. 0.

On the Academic Calendar, it is described under "University Closings" as "Fall Break" (11/22-11/24), which dismisses most lectures/classes, and "Thanksgiving holidays" (11/25-11/28), which are the official dates that most faculty and staff are able to take time off as holiday.
