The USA Hockey Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Plymouth Township, Michigan, opened in 1996. Originally known as the Compuware Sports Arena , its name was shortened to Compuware Arena on September 11, 2007, to better market the venue for non-sporting events it hosted. [ 4 ]
Plymouth is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A downtown Detroit tradition is returning for yet another year. Starting Saturday, Nov. 18, The Rink at Campus Martius will be open for visitors to lace up their skates and hop on the ice once again.
In 2021, the athletic department settled on building a new rink across from the Ice Forum which was scheduled to be completed in time for the start of the 2022–23 season. [3] The arena hosted its first UConn women's hockey game on January 13, 2023 and its first UConn men's hockey game on January 14, 2023.

Artificial ice was installed in 1968. [3] In 2005, Calumet Township traded 12 acres of land for a new armory in exchange for the arena, and reverted the name to Calumet Colosseum. [3] In 2019, Calumet was the winner of Kraft Hockeyville USA, winning $150,000 for upgrades to the Colosseum. [7]
