The Bragg peak is a pronounced peak on the Bragg curve which plots the energy loss of ionizing radiation during its travel through matter. For protons , α-rays , and other ion rays , the peak occurs immediately before the particles come to rest.
In X-ray crystallography, wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) or wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD) is the analysis of Bragg peaks scattered to wide angles, which (by Bragg's law) are caused by sub-nanometer-sized structures. [1] It is an X-ray-diffraction [2] method and commonly used to determine a range of information about crystalline materials.
Small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) is a small-angle scattering technique by which nanoscale density differences in a sample can be quantified. This means that it can determine nanoparticle size distributions, resolve the size and shape of (monodisperse) macromolecules, determine pore sizes and characteristic distances of partially ordered materials. [1]
In order to achieve diffraction conditions, the sample under study must be precisely aligned. The contrast observed strongly depends on the exact position of the angular working point on the rocking curve of the sample, i.e. on the angular distance between the actual sample rotation position and the theoretical position of the Bragg peak.
Portions of it are in the far south area of Illinois known as Little Egypt. Cities in or near the area are Carbondale, Illinois , Marion, Illinois , and Cairo, Illinois . Designated as the Illini and Shawnee Purchase Units, President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared these purchase units to be the Shawnee National Forest in September 1939.

The Kincaid Mounds Historic Site (11MX2-11; 11PO2-10) [3] c. 1050–1400 CE, [4] is a Mississippian culture archaeological site located at the southern tip of present-day U.S. state of Illinois, along the Ohio River.
The Bragg Peak description of radiotherapy depth dose curves really only applies to light ions (Protons up to Neon). I believe the Bragg Peak description is correct (I just tweaked it a bit).
