[3] The community is located in the towns of Geneseo, Livonia, Groveland, and Conesus and covers Conesus Lake, the westernmost of New York's Finger Lakes, and nearly all of the lake's shoreline communities.

New York State Route 15 also passes through the community, leading east to Livonia village with US 20A but turning north up Rochester Road to lead 2 miles (3 km) to Interstate 390 and 23 miles (37 km) to Rochester. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Lakeville CDP has an area of 0.66 square miles (1.7 km 2), all land. [4]
Kellerman Log Cabin is a historic home located at Conesus in Livingston County, New York. It is a one-story, 20 foot by 24 foot building with a large partially exposed fieldstone chimney. It is constructed of stacked adzed logs with dovetail corner joints and mud chinking. It was built in 1816 by Isaac Kellerman.
