The riders attend Berk's 400 year anniversary, but there is little chance for celebration when they learn Viggo has placed a bounty on Hiccup's head. Mid-journey, the Berkians discover an island on which they initially plan to rest, but soon begin to settle there, dubbing it "New Berk".
The first and second seasons were titled Dragon: Riders of Berk and Dragons: Defenders of Berk respectively. After the two seasons on Cartoon Network, the series was given the new title Dragons: Race to the Edge. The characters are older and it served as a prequel to the second film, running from June 2015 to February 2018. [1]
Stoick and his companion Gobber track Hiccup to the nest, where Stoick discovers his wife is alive and they finally reunite. Meanwhile, Astrid and the other riders force Eret to lead them to Drago, who captures them and their dragons. Upon learning of Berk's dragons, Drago leads his armada to attack the dragon nest.
Dragons: Gift of the Night Fury was released on Blu-ray and DVD on November 15, 2011 along with Book of Dragons. It was released on Blu-ray and DVD as part of the DreamWorks Holiday Classics . It was re-released on DVD on October 1, 2013 along with Shrek the Halls , Merry Madagascar , Kung Fu Panda Holiday , and The Croods .
