The Michelob Ultra Arena, formerly the Mandalay Bay Events Center, is a 12,000-seat multi-purpose indoor arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. [1] It is owned and operated by MGM Resorts International, and was opened on April 10, 1999.
Mandalay Bay has 3,209 rooms, excluding the other on-site hotels. [90] The Mandalay Bay tower is built out in a Y-shaped layout. [91] Rows of gold neon tubing run up the tower's sides, in between mirrored, gold-colored windows. [92] Although the tower is 43 stories, the top four floors are numbered 60 through 63.
It was developed by original owner Mandalay Resort Group, at a cost of $236 million. Construction began in 2001, but was temporarily halted due to the economic impact of the September 11 attacks. The Mandalay Bay Convention Center opened on January 6, 2003, with 1,500,000 sq ft (140,000 m 2). MGM acquired the facility two years later.

The venue is located on about 62 acres (0.25 km 2) of land west of Mandalay Bay at Russell Road and Hacienda Avenue, between Polaris Avenue and Dean Martin Drive, just west of Interstate 15. At $1.9 billion, it is the fourth-most expensive stadium in the world. Taxpayers shouldered $750 million of the cost of construction. [11]
It is located at and owned by the Mandalay Bay resort. The attraction opened on June 20, 2000. Its main tank is 1,300,000 US gallons (4,900,000 L), one of the largest in North America. [3] The facility is 105,000 sq ft (9,800 m 2), and displays numerous species of sharks, rays, fish, reptiles, and marine invertebrates.
Its success led to similar music venues being built at other nearby resorts, including the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and the Pearl Theater at the Palms resort. [6] Although the Joint was built as a music venue, it hosted other events as well, such as the world premiere of Con Air on June 2, 1997.
Seat maps usually indicate the basic seating layout; the numbering and lettering of the seats; and the locations of the emergency exits, lavatories, galleys, bulkheads and wings. Airlines that allow internet check-in frequently present a seat map indicating free and occupied seats to the passenger so that they select their seat from it.
