Highcroft Racing was an American auto racing team based out of Danbury, Connecticut and founded by driver Duncan Dayton in 1989. Initially founded for Dayton's involvement in historic motorsport, specifically the restoration and preparation of classic automobiles, the team was expanded for Dayton's entry into the USAC Formula Ford 2000 series in 1994.

The William O'Neill Athletic and Convocation Center (O'Neill Center) is an 80,000-square-foot (7,400 m 2) multi-purpose athletic complex, at Western Connecticut State University, in Danbury, Connecticut. Named after William O'Neill, the O'Neill Center was completed in 1995 and has since been home to WestConn's basketball and volleyball teams.
LaJoie started racing go-karts when he was 11.5 years old. In 1980 he began racing in full-bodied racecars. He was the 1981 track champion in the sportsman division at the Danbury Fair Racearena. When Danbury closed that off-season, he moved to the Waterford Speedbowl where he won Modified Rookie Of The Year honors in 1982.
