Kankwadi or Kankwari is the site of Kankwadi fort and village, located in the Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar district. The fort was founded by Jai Singh II as a famine work. A palace was built by Pratap Singh Prabhakar [1] The village was evicted in 2009, [2] but renovation works in the fort are going on to promote tourism. [3]

Pandupole. Pandupole is a tourist spot in the Sariska Tiger Reserve (Alwar district, Rajasthan), and it has an ancient mythical connotation attached to it.Pandupole was the ancient site where the strongest among the Pandavas, Bhima, vanquished the giant demon Hidimbb and in return for this victory earned the hand of his sister, Hidimba.
The lake was built in 1845 by Maharaja Vinay Singh, the then-ruler of Alwar, by constructing an embankment on a tributary of the Ruparel River. The purpose of creating the lake was to provide water to Alwar, evidenced by the aqueducts that surround the lake. The lake is flanked by its namesake, a palace which was built by the king for his wife.

As per the section 38 of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972, the state governments are responsible preparing a Tiger Conservation Plan which includes planning and management of notified areas and maintaining the requisite competent staff to ensure the protection of the tiger reserve and providing inputs for maintaining a viable population of tigers, co-predators and prey animals.
