The Namma Metro (English: Our metro), also known as Bangalore Metro, is the rapid transit system serving the city of Bangalore in India. [1] Out of the operational 68 metro stations of Namma Metro as of November 2024, there are 59 elevated stations, eight underground stations and one at-grade station.
In December 2019, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) invited bids for the construction of the metro station, part of the 8.377 km Reach 2A – Package 2 (Kodibeesanahalli - Krishnarajapura) of the 18.236 km Blue Line of Namma Metro.
The BMRCL charges ₹ 50,000 (US$580) for shooting inside a metro station, and ₹ 40,000 (US$460) for shoots inside a metro train during peak hours between 6 am to 10 pm. During non-peak hours, from 10 pm to 4 am, the agency charges ₹ 50,000 (US$580) for shoots inside metro stations and ₹ 20,000 (US$230) inside a train.
The first package included 2.84 km of ramps for a flyover at Central Silk board junction in addition to 9.859 km of viaduct with six elevated stations. The second package was for 8.377 km viaduct with seven elevated stations, 1.097 km depot line and a 0.30 km pocket track.

The third tender for construction of the 6.34 km (3.94 mi) elevated section and five stations was awarded to a joint venture between Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) and URC Construction Pvt Ltd. on 3 July 2017 for ₹ 797.29 crore (US$92 million). BMRCL began the land acquisition process in early 2017 and civil works started in November 2017.
