Micker Brook is a tributary of the River Mersey in North West England.. Known early in its course as Bollinhurst Brook and Norbury Brook, then Lady Brook, [1] the river runs along the Ladybrook Valley westward and northward through Hazel Grove, Bramhall and Cheadle.
In 2016 an extensive programme of restoration work was completed. The Ladybrook flows westward through the park, joining the River Mersey at Cheadle. Bramhall War Memorial is in Mayfield Place. It was unveiled by Sir Henry de Beauvoir De Lisle on 18 December 1921. [15] It commemorates the 90 men of Bramhall who fell in the two world wars. [16] [17]

Historically in Cheshire, it lies south-east of Manchester, in the Ladybrook Valley. In 2011, it had a population of 26,479. Evidence of Bronze Age, Roman and Anglo-Saxon activity, including coins, jewellery and axes, has been discovered locally.
Cheadle lies on the Cheshire Plain in the final meander of the Ladybrook Valley before it joins the River Mersey to the north. Cheadle is on the A560 from Stockport to Chester and borders onto the A34. Its geology is boulder clay and gravels: the parkland of Abney Hall to the north is on the flood plain of the Mersey.
