State Trunk Highway 49 (often called Highway 49, STH-49 or WIS 49) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It runs north–south in central and southeast Wisconsin from Wittenberg to Lomira. The highway was initially designated in 1917, but it had not been extended to its current length until the 1950s.
Wisconsin Highway 49 runs through the village. Kummel Creek, a tributary of the Rock River, begins just north of the village, through which it flows, and the Horicon Marsh sits approximately five miles west of the town. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.52 square miles (1.35 km 2), all of it land. [5]
