Nusantara (Indonesian pronunciation: [nusanˈtara] ⓘ), officially Nusantara Capital City [1] (Indonesian: Ibu Kota Nusantara, abbreviated IKN), is the future capital city of Indonesia, [2] located between Kutai Kartanegara Regency and Penajam North Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, on the island of Borneo.
