The island of Oʻahu and the uninhabited Northwestern Hawaiian Islands [2] constitute the City and County of Honolulu. In 2021, Oʻahu had a population of 995,638, [3] up from 953,207 in 2010 (approximately 70% of the total 1,455,271 population of the Hawaiian Islands, [4] with approximately 81% of those living in or near the Honolulu urban area).

There are 169 properties and districts on the island, including 16 National Historic Landmarks. Five formerly listed sites were demolished and have been removed from the Register.
Keaīwa Heiau State Recreation Area is the ruins of a temple (Heiau in the Hawaiian language) at the summit of a hill and neighborhood called ʻAiea Heights on Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. The recreation area includes camping facilities and a 4.8-mile (7.7 km) trail. It also offers clear views of Pearl Harbor. [1]

Farrington Highway is a major highway through the western part of O‘ahu in the U.S. state of Hawaii.Starting from Kamehameha Highway north of Pearl Harbor, it heads west along the island's southwestern and western coast; another part of the highway also serves the western part of the North Shore, ending in Waialua.
