The National Museum of Art of Romania (Romanian: Muzeul Național de Artă al României) is located in the Royal Palace in Revolution Square, central Bucharest. [1] It features collections of medieval and modern Romanian art , as well as the international collection assembled by the Romanian royal family .
The Zambaccian Museum in Bucharest, Romania is a museum in the former home of Krikor Zambaccian (1889 –1962), a businessman and art collector. The palace was built in 1901–1902 for Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, mayor of Bucharest and former prime-minister, after the plans of Ion D. Berindey, in the French Beaux Arts style.
To serve its purposes, the Romanian Athenaeum, a building dedicated to art and science, would be erected in Bucharest. [ 1 ] The building was designed by the French architect Albert Galleron , built on a property that had belonged to the Văcărescu family and inaugurated in 1888, although work continued until 1897.
