A book discussion club is a group of people who meet to discuss books they have read. It is often simply called a book club, a term that may cause confusion with a book sales club. Other terms include reading group, book group, and book discussion group.
Children choose their own reading materials. Small temporary groups are formed, based on book choice. Different groups read different books; Groups meet on a regular predictable schedule. Students use written or drawn notes to guide both their reading and discussion. Discussion topics come from the students
