The AA Highway is a 135.665-mile-long (218.332 km) state highway maintained by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The mainline route parallels the Ohio River from Interstate 275 (I-275) in Wilder to Vanceburg; it is cosigned as Kentucky Route (KY 9).
The previous routing between these two points is now designated Kentucky Route 1241. In McCracken County, US 45 passes through Lone Oak and then passes under I-24 as it enters Paducah. In Paducah, US 45 forms intersections with US 60 , US 62 , US 60 Business, I-24 Business, and US 45 Business as it passes through the western part of town.
Exit ramps provide access from US 62T to Beeson St NE, and then the highway merges onto State Route 225 (SR 225) and ends. Although the US 62T designation is unsigned, signs on the road read "To West US 62 / To State Route 225 North". The entire route is built to freeway standards with a speed limit of 65 miles per hour (105 km/h).
