The original series films were directed by Hiroshi Fukutomi in 1980, Hideo Nishimaki from 1981-1982, and Tsutomu Shibayama from 1983-2004. Shunsuke Kikuchi was the music composer of the movies from 1980-1997, Senri Oe served as music composer from 1998-1999, Katsumi Horii served as music composer from 2000-2004.
The anywhere door explodes due to the attack of the Kaguya beings. Nobita tells Doraemon to use a "Bamboo Copter" to fly to the Moon, but Doraemon denies this. Mozo, the Kaguya turtle, comes out of Shizuka's shirt and tells them to use the emergency ship he and Luca used to go to Earth. Doraemon tells everyone to gather here at 7 pm.
Doraemon also builds an Egg Factory which gives birth living toys through toy eggs and a Photocopy Mirror. While capturing several satellite photos, they notice a shining substance inside a crater. Nobita and his friends attempt to travel to the crater, but are hindered by a storm that wash them up to the shore.
Still, Doraemon is very friendly and intelligent, not to mention long-suffering because of Nobita's antics. Since Sewashi sent Doraemon to the past, Doraemon has been living as the unofficial fourth member of Nobita's family and acts like a second son to Nobita's parents, since despite being a robot, he still needs to eat and sleep.

When Doraemon returns and examines the rocket, he finds Papi, an alien smaller than an Earthling, emerges from it. Papi's rocket is broken, so Doraemon and Nobita decide to repair it. The next day, Shizuka brings a dollhouse for Papi, and Doraemon and the others become smaller with the "Small Light," and they play together and deepen their bond.
