The Chrysler Slant-Six is the popular name for an overhead valve inline-6 engine produced by Chrysler Motors between 1959 and 2000. Featuring a reverse-flow cylinder head and cylinder bank inclined at a 30-degree angle from vertical, it was introduced in 170 cu in (2.8 L) and 225 cu in (3.7 L) displacements for the 1960 model year.

On most overhead valve engines, the distributor shaft is driven by a gear on the camshaft, often shared with the oil pump; on most overhead camshaft engines, the distributor shaft is attached directly to a camshaft. Older distributor designs used a cam on the distributor shaft that operates the contact breaker (also called points).
Although, in automotive terms, '20V' would normally be interpreted as having twenty valves, this is incorrect. The name '20V' is the name of the trim level of the Nissan Primera that it is found in. It is also a shortened version of the name SR20VE. This engine has 16 valves like the rest of the SR20 engines.
