The second season of Yu-Gi-Oh!Duel Monsters, based on the manga by Kazuki Takahashi, premiered in Japan on April 10, 2001, and concluded on March 5, 2002, on TV Tokyo.The English adaptation of this season aired in the United States from November 16, 2002, and concluded on November 1, 2003, on Kids' WB.
His plans to obtain his revenge by using Kaiba to defeat Yami Yugi, in order to completely revive as the King of Destruction and annihilate mankind. This movie is based on the Duel Monsters anime series, and is also set after the Battle City arc.
The first half of the season follows an original story arc, where Yugi and his friends are transported to a digital universe, created and controlled by Noah, Seto Kaiba's adoptive brother. They are forced to duel the Big Five, KaibaCorp's former board of directors, in order to escape with their minds in their own bodies.
The first twenty-four episodes of the season form an original story arc that sees Yugi and his friends get sucked into a virtual world run by Noah, the illegitimate stepbrother of Seto and Mokuba and son of Kaiba's adoptive father, Gozaburo. After returning to the real world, the finals of the Battle City tournament commence.
Despite having a similar attitude to him, Seto was a loyal friend of Atem. Before the Battle City arc, a tablet depicting Seto fighting Atem was on display at the Domino City Museum, with his Blue-Eyes White Dragon fighting against Atem's Dark Magician. During the Battle City arc, Kaiba experiences visions of his past life as Seto.
