Georgia State Route 400 (SR 400; commonly known as Georgia 400) is a freeway and state highway in the U.S. state of Georgia serving parts of Metro Atlanta.It is concurrent with U.S. Route 19 (US 19) from exit 4 (Interstate 285) until its northern terminus south-southeast of Dahlonega, linking the city of Atlanta to its north-central suburbs and exurbs.

At its furthest southern point, SR 9 begins at the intersection of US 19 (14th Street N.W.) and US 41/SR 3 (Northside Drive) in Atlanta. It travels to the east to an intersection with West Peachtree Street N.W., and turns north here, shortly after crossing over I-75.
Except for the Carrollton and East Point/Atlanta areas, the highway is fairly rural. In Atlanta, it has a limited-access freeway portion that is known as the Arthur B. Langford Jr. Parkway (formerly named the Lakewood Freeway). SR 166 was originally the Georgia segment of U.S. Route 78S (US 78S), which was later redesignated as US 78 Alt.
By the end of 1963, SR 92 was extended east and southeast to a point just southeast of the second crossing of the Cherokee–Cobb county line. This entire extension was paved. [ 41 ] [ 42 ] Between 1963 and 1966, the segment of SR 92 from the SR 205 intersection to Woodstock was shifted south, which removed the concurrency with SR 5.
