Berhampore (/ ˈ b ɛər ə m p ɔːr /), also known as Baharampur (Bengali: বহরমপুর [ˈbɔɦoˌrɔmpur]), is a city and a municipality in the state of West Bengal, India. Berhampore is the administrative headquarters of the Murshidabad district. As of 2011 census, Berhampore is the seventh largest city in West Bengal.
Berhampore had a population of 3,870 at the 2018 New Zealand census, an increase of 261 people (7.2%) since the 2013 census, and an increase of 273 people (7.6%) since the 2006 census. There were 1,554 households, comprising 1,821 males and 2,049 females, giving a sex ratio of 0.89 males per female.
Other important towns are Irun, Errenteria, Zarautz, Arrasate, Oñati with an old university, Eibar, Tolosa which was the provincial capital for a short time, Beasain, Pasaia, the main port and Hondarribia, an old fort town across from the French Atlantic coast.
