The following are approximate tallies of current listings by county. These counts are based on entries in the National Register Information Database as of April 24, 2008 [2] and new weekly listings posted since then on the National Register of Historic Places web site. [3]

Standerton is a large commercial and agricultural town lying on the banks of the Vaal River in Mpumalanga, South Africa, which specialises in cattle, dairy, maize and poultry farming. The town was established in 1876 and named after Boer leader Commandant A. H. Stander.
Charl Cilliers is a settlement in Gert Sibande District Municipality in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. The village is some 32 km north of Standerton . History
The town was founded in 1909 by the Dutch Reformed Church and was named after PJ Greyling, stepson of Piet Retief. [3] [4] A new town was laid out 5 km away in 1913 on the farm Willemsdal owned by Willem Bezuidenhout.
