Girls Names was a band from Belfast, Northern Ireland, [1] formed in 2009 by Cathal Cully and Neil Brogan. Before they disbanded in 2019, the released four albums— Dead To Me , The New Life , Arms Around a Vision , and Stains on Silence —as well as several EPs, singles, and split singles .

In 1967, two of Samantha Jones's performances were included in the soundtrack of the film The Vengeance of Fu Manchu. [1] Her first album Call It Samantha was released in US only in 1968. Jones switched to UK label Penny Farthing in 1969 and recorded her second album A Girl Named Sam with the producer Mark Wirtz.

Original bassist Martin Talbot left the band after five shows, being replaced by Parsons in September 1995. Following Talbot's death, the band dedicated their debut album A Week Away to him in 1999. The 2017 tour used several session drummers, including Sam Ogden for some gigs in the last half of the tour. He has also played with the band extensively on the 2018 and 2019 tours. The band spent most of 2018 on the Stinks Like Punk tour of UK and Europe. [21] Most of 2019 was spent on the Sniff My Strap tour of UK and Europe.
