Pine Springs (Navajo: Tʼiis Ííʼáhí) is a populated place situated in Apache County, Arizona, United States. [2] Pine Springs "sibling" town is Oak Springs. Pine Springs Road had been the main road to Window Rock before the interstate. It had a school, a trading post a log-constructed chapter house, and a Catholic mission.
Northern Arizona is an unofficial, colloquially defined region of the U.S. state of Arizona. Generally consisting of Apache , Coconino , Mohave , Navajo , and Yavapai counties, the region is geographically dominated by the Colorado Plateau , the southern border of which in Arizona is called the Mogollon Rim .
A partial restoration was done in 2005–2007 to stabilize much of the site. The complex is administered by the White Mountain Apache Tribe and the Fort Apache Heritage Foundation as a "satellite" element of the Fort Apache Historic Park. [3] The White Mountain Apache require visitors to obtain a permit to visit the Kinishba Ruins site.
